The Ten O’Clock Band is called
Florida’s Swingin’est Big Band.
18 pieces of bold and brassy sound
let you feel and experience the
classic days of swing
as it was meant to be enjoyed.
Since the band’s formation in 1996
they have performed
at many of Florida’s
prominent venues
including a recent
sell-out USO show
aboard the USS Victory Ship
on Channelside Drive in Tampa.

Embellishing the styles
of Count Basie, Glenn Miller,
Benny Goodman
and many other greats
of the swing era,
the Ten O’Clock Band
generously captures the
big sound
of real swing music.

Tickets for Friday night's dance
are $22 in advance
and $25 at the door. 
Doors open to the main
ballroom at 7:30pm.
Live music starts at 9 pm
and the
dance continues
until 1 am.

swing dance bands, Jonathan Stout
and his Campus Five
hit the stage at the
St. Petersburg Coliseum.

This group features jazz vocalist
Hilary Alexander
also performing with the
Bill Elliott Swing Orchestra and
Mora’s Modern Rhythmists.

The combination of Hilary,
Jonathan, and the Campus Five
results in one of the most
danceable swing bands on the
national scene today.

They have traveled the world
to play for major jazz festivals
and were featured on an
episode of the
Ellen DeGeneres Show.
The Campus Five released
three albums,
2003's "Jammin' the Blues"
2004's "Crazy Rhythm"
and due to growing demand
for their music,
"Moppin' and Boppin'"
was released in 2007.

WORKSHOPS
Over 30 hours of Workshops divided into 3 Tracks and 4 Levels
Workshop classes are held Saturday and Sunday starting at 10 AM

Participants have the option of choosing which classes to attend,
including Lindy Hop, Balboa, Bal-Swing, Jitterbug, Jazz,
Blues, Charleston, Shim Sham and more.
Beginning dancers can follow a beginner track that
progresses them along with more detailed instructions
than intermediate or advanced classes.
All classes are categorized by their level of difficulty
as Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced or Masters.
In order not to slow down the group, attendees must be invited
by the Advanced Instructor to take the Masters Classes.
Masters Classes are especially fast-paced classes
recommended for instructors and advanced dancers.

Built in 1924 and host to a veritable who’s who of
dance bands since its opening,
the St. Petersburg Coliseum captures the magic of the Swing Era
at its peak, when dance bands ruled the airwaves.
It boasts a huge 15,500 square foot
hardwood dance floor and a capacity of up to 2000 people.
This fabulous venue has hosted swing legends that include
Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Cab Calloway,
Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, and many more.
